We at We Deliver Cancun want to welcome you to our new page
and new concept. We saw a need here in Cancun and decided to
fill it. I've been here 14 years after
giving up everything in Canada and moving to this little corner of
paradise. It’s been fun and
challenging.
I do most of my grocery shopping at Wal-Mart but have to stop at several other stores I to get everything I need. I've had to make many changes in my
selections as the products are not the same as in Canada. More and more stores are carrying brand name
items from Canada and the US but they come and go. I've learned to adapt and what products make the best substitute. When I first went back
home I had a list 3 pages long of items to bring back, now I return list free.
I see tourists in Wal-Mart every time I’m there. They know the store name and so feel comfortable going there to shop. But I also see
confused faces and hear exasperated sighs. I've been approached many times for advice. I see people who have been dragged off the
beach or golf course looking like they are getting dental surgery without
anesthetic roaming around with lost looks. Mostly the men I must
admit. They would rather be just about
anywhere but there. So why not let them
be?
How easy it would be to have someone do the shopping for
you. No need to speak Spanish ( or more
likely Spanglish ), convert currencies, search unfamiliar shelves for
unfamiliar products, and lose valuable vacation time in a grocery store. Doesn’t make for the most exciting vacation
photos either. Look mom, canned soup!
So we put together a list of what we thought would be the
most needed food, personal items and fun stuff ( alcohol and tobacco ) and are
offering that to travelers who will be making their own meals while here. The condos and timeshares have all the
appliances, cookware, dishes and flatware needed. Just the food is missing and that takes time
to get.
How much easier to sit at home on your computer and
shop, then when you arrive the groceries
are delivered to you?! Just unpack, sign
for them and off to sip margaritas on the beach! Sounds good to me – maybe I’ll join you.
